The value for money was excellent, with a spacious room, separate lounge, and a good-sized bathroom. The staff were friendly, jovial, and helpful, making our stay even better. The location offered amazing views and had a rustic charm that gave it character.
The breakfast could be improved with a better variety of jams.

The hotel is beautifully kept. The staff were very welcoming. The location was marvelous. It wasn't far from the Algarve coast, local restaurants, and Monchique. It was only a maximum of 10 minutes walk to the lake. The experience was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

I was lucky enough to stay at this lovely hotel recently and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The views from the hotel were absolutely breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop to my stay. The location was also perfect, providing easy access to both the town and the mountains. The breakfast spread was delicious and the pool area was beautifully maintained. Despite what some reviews may say, I found the hotel to be far from dilapidated. It had a charming and traditional feel that added to the overall ambiance.

I had the most incredible stay at a charming hotel nestled in the countryside. The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset and sunrise. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. They even allowed me to do my Yoga session on the rooftop, which was a truly serene experience. The personalized attention and engagement from the owner, Gildo, was exceptional. He truly runs the place with all his heart. The vegan breakfast options were a pleasant surprise, and I loved that they provided fresh mountain water from a spring. The TV room with a view was a great place to connect with other guests, and the free coffee, tea, and cookie station was a lovely touch.
The pool was closed due to the season, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the wifi connection in the room was not the best and only worked partly in certain areas.

I chose this hotel for our team retreat as it offers a unique experience for art lovers. The regular exhibitions of international artists and the availability of handicrafts added a cultural touch to our stay. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location provided easy access to daily amenities such as a post office.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center or work area. It would have been helpful to have a designated space with reliable internet and necessary office equipment to cater to the needs of business travelers like myself.
